It will be developed by 2034 on a scale of 5.61 million square meters, similar in size to the current Naro Space Center. As a facility designed to operate reusable launch vehicles more than 10 times a year, it will serve as a key hub for promoting national space development, including support for launches and landings as well as lunar and Martian exploration. The call for candidate sites recently began, but Gyeongnam is facing increasing deliberation regarding whether to participate in the bidding war. This is due to the stringent site requirements.
