Introduction to the passive voice in English | Grammar lesson
Hi everyone and welcome back to the English Learning Classroom. I have designed this lesson in preparation for next week when I will teach you the ‘be + to be + past participle’ construction. Today, I will focus on the passive for the four types of present tense. The simple present, the present continuous, the present perfect and present perfect continuous. The reason I keep the grammar lessons as uncomplicated as possible, is so that you don’t have to absorb too much information in one go because that can be overwhelming. As always, if you have any video requests, please do comment them below and if you would like to, you can also follow my Instagram account @englishlearningclassroom Have a lovely weekend! 00:00 - 01:13 Intro. 01:13 - 02:45 Difference between active and passive. 02:45 - 05:32 Present tenses in the active voice. 05:32 - 08:04 Present tenses in the passive voice. 08:04 - 09:01 More example active and passive sentences. 09:01 - 14:19 When to use the passive. 14:19 - 14:53 Outro.
