In search of Artists & Painters #Riogordo #malaga #andalucia #spain

Riogordo is a town in the state of Andalucia in Spain, It is situated in the region of #axarquía in the #Montes de Malaga. at a distance of 40 kms from #malaga and only 30 kms from the town of #velezmalaga, just on the east of #Colmenar. Every year the Town hall organises a competition for #artist and #painters on a open day to compete. The winner is offered €1500 as #prize money. The artists have to register with the #Ayuntamientoderiogordo and locate themselves on the day at various sites and view points of #riogordo. They have a full day to start and finish their #artworks. The talented artists choose where they feel comfortable and start their #paintings. It happened to be on 31st May 2025, I visited the town in search of the Artists and Painters in Riogordo. Incidently the next day was #dia del caracol. The town of Riogordo is very beautiful with #lanscape of #montes, #hills , #river and #jardins ie #gardens .
