I Asked About Foreign... But We Ended Up Talking About Life

A few weeks ago, I asked one simple question: Is foreign still worth it? I never imagined where that conversation would lead. 🇯🇲 That video became much more than a discussion about Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Jamaica, money, or moving back home. Hundreds of Jamaicans from the diaspora and from Jamaica shared their real experiences, and I read every comment. What surprised me most was this: I thought we were going to talk mostly about economics, cost of living, taxes, rent, jobs, and retirement. Instead, so many of you talked about peace. About belonging. About family. About stability. About di vibes. About finally feeling like you could breathe again. Some of you are planning to move back to Jamaica. Some already returned and shared the honest truth: things take patience, systems can move slowly, healthcare is different, utilities can be expensive, and prices are rising. But many of you still said the peace of mind was worth it. Others said foreign is still where they need to be right now because of work, family, grandchildren, healthcare, debt, or stability. And that matters too. This video is not about telling anyone where they should live. It is about listening to what Jamaicans are saying and asking a deeper question: Where do we feel at peace?
