During my 7-day Carian Trail adventure, I hiked solo along the foothills of the Beşparmak Mountains (Latmos), mostly following the routes known as the Inland Carian Trail, from the Karpuzlu district of Aydın to the Kapıkırı and Gölyaka neighborhoods of Muğla. The fourth day of my adventure began at my campsite under the stone pines in the Kullar neighborhood. I tried to record my daily camp life and some of my gear. I washed my dishes at the fountain at the entrance of the village, filled up my water, and spent a good deal of time idling under a mulberry tree. I hit the trail in the afternoon. The Beşparmak Mountains (Latmos) immediately drew me in with their mesmerizing nature. At a spot called Yörük Gediği, I climbed up on a rock and spent a long time watching the view of the Meriçler Pond. While recording the authentic cave house there, I fell victim to my camera; I had to struggle quite a bit to recover the slow-motion footage. I needed to reach Bağarcık Village and it was getting dark, so I made some changes to my route. However, I don't think I missed out on much because even walking on the asphalt, the scenery was magnificent. I wrapped up the day at a village house in Bağarcık Village. The next day, I was going to hike the route between Bağarcık and Kapıkırı and face some serious dangers. That’s why it turned out to be a good thing that I got a great night's sleep in that village house.
