Wellingborough Floods January 2024
The River Nene and The Ise have both burst their banks after heavy rain fell upon the town of Wellingborough over the last few days. I head out to Wellingborough Upper lakes and then walk my way along the Embankment, sending up Sky-eye to capture the scenes from above. Stanton Cross Development is about to develop these floodplains with two roundabouts and a new road. Ok, balancing ponds and attenuation basins have been made to compensate for flood plain loss but I must say, I have my doubts. What are your thoughts?
