Woodturning-Hollywood Juniper

I’ve been looking for a piece of Red Juniper for awhile. I knew the color would be beautiful. It’s known as Hollywood Juniper out here along the California coast (juniperus chinensis) it’s a common evergreen plant used in a lot of landscapes. Often planted next to a house or Building. They can get 20-30 feet tall if left alone, however often times they need to be trimmed or removed because they are to close to the house and cause problems. This particular plant damaged a sewer line and it had to go. As soon as I saw it I had plans on turning it. It was a fun and beautiful little project.
