This video shows a 17.7km hike (600m ascent, 1310m descent) on the Volcano Route (Ruta de los Volcanes) on the GR131 from Refugio del Pilar to Los Canarios. It was incredibly beautiful to hike over the 120 volcanoes, and I constantly had views of the neighboring islands of Tenerife, La Gomera, and El Hierro. It was truly the most beautiful hike of my life (and the dirtiest 🤣) with an amazing display of colors 🎨. In May, I went on a 10-day solo hike on the island of La Palma. My plan was an approximately 164km hike around/crossing the island, combining sections of the GR130 and GR131.
