To play along make sure and tune your guitars down one half step (Eb tuning). Former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E Lee formed Badlands after he left Ozzy's band and they released their debut album in 1989 to great fanfare. Heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin, Humble Pie, Free, Bad Company and Grand Funk Railroad, Badlands forged a heavier sound without sacrificing groove and powerful songs. Jake was joined by legendary vocalist Ray Gillen (R.I.P.), bassist Greg Chaisson and drummer Eric Singer to form this powerhouse 4 piece line up. The follow up album 'Voodoo Highway' (1991) was another killer record, but the banded folded shortly thereafter. These riffs are a blast to play and a lesson in soulful blues/rock/funk riffing of the highest order! Enjoy! Don't forget the E flat tuning!
