One of the Most Terrifying Moments of My Life - Van Life Colombia

This is not clickbait. This is one of the most terrifying moments in my life and certainly one of the scariest moments in our van life. We needed to relax and unwind from all the driving. Snow found the perfect place just outside of Santa Rosa de Cabal, Colombia tucked away in a hidden valley within the coffee triangle of Colombia. This is a beautiful thermal reserve, with two amazing trails, one along a thermal river through the interesting mossy forest and the other leading up to a super tall epic waterfall. With hot mineral water flowing through the Turkish baths, a diversity of colorful birds, and the amazing sounds of nature make this place one of a kind. BUT, when you least expect it things can go really wrong really fast. And if you don't have a good feel for how long 20 seconds is, count slowly to twenty or set your stopwatch. It was frightening.
