Huge Mistake Coming to Sri Lanka? Mirissa is NOT going as planned 😭 🇱🇰

In this episode, we’ve left the bustling city of Colombo behind and headed south to the beach town of Mirissa. But… we’re starting to wonder if visiting Sri Lanka during rainy season was the best idea. With unpredictable closures and on-again-off-again showers, it’s been a challenge to plan anything. Still, we’re making the most of it! We kick things off with a walk along Mirissa Beach, past the colorful beach bars and restaurants, and out to Parrot Rock—a local icon (even if it’s a bit slippery when wet). Needing a little sunshine and sustenance, we stop for a fresh mango juice and a tasty western-style breakfast at the chill and cozy Tuana Mirissa. After fueling up, we make the short climb to Coconut Hill, a must-see in Mirissa with sweeping views of the palm tree-covered coast. Despite the moody weather, it’s still one of the most photogenic spots in southern Sri Lanka. Next up: we head back to our adorable (and budget-friendly!)
