TH350C Teardown and Inspection (Full Length Version)

I show a complete teardown and inspection of a TH350C including key points of inspection, common drivability symptoms and causes as well as considerations for overhaul. Everything that I discuss also applies to the non-lock up version of the TH350, except for the aspects of the unit that are unique to the TH350C. The video is long thus may be best to view in sections as per your specific area of the transmission that is of immediate interest as I get into a fair amount of detail while moving through each section of the unit. It also supersedes the previously-published 'TH350C Quick Teardown' video. Viewer's note: The steady rest that I discuss when disassembling the pump and direct drum is the large teflon sealing ring-like structure at the base of the pump stator added to facilitate better stability between the drum and pump in '77+ Buick TH350s while the steel sleeve added to the pump on all TH350s to provide a better surface for the direct drum bushing is a separate improvement from the steady rest. After watching the footage, I realized that I wasn't entirely clear specifying the difference. TOC 1. Intro and overview -- 0:00 - 3:00 2. Exterior Inspection Discussion -- 3:01-15:30 3.
