The pipes and the guitar do not really know each other in the standard story, but if you let them stay in the same room long enough they start to play around each other instead of past each other. The drone of the bagpipe holds and the rasgueo of the guitar runs along it like a river running along a cliff. They were never enemies. They were just born too far apart to ever meet on purpose. This mix is for the meeting. The slow one. The one that takes a few minutes before anybody is sure if it is going to work. The first time it lands it is impossible to mistake for anything else. The highlands and the andaluz. The fire and the fog. The room that has been waiting for both of them. Maybe you are someone with both cultures in your blood and you have always known they belong to each other.
