Casino - Port Talbot

Under the provisions of the new 1960 gaming act, that made Casino's legal, The Casino Club Port Talbot believed to be Britain's first legal real casino-cum-cabaret, dance and fine dining establishment opened in 1961 by gambling entrepreneur George Alfred James. At the time. and under the gaming act rules, the Casino's had to operate under an 'equal chance' license, but as George James explains, he was still confident of making money from the venture.
