Delimitation Bill Row | Mallikarjun Kharge Writes To PM Modi Seeking All-Party Meet

AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding an all-party meeting to discuss the revised delimitation proposals, ahead of the Parliament's monsoon session. Kharge reminded the PM that he had written multiple letters to the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs in March and April, requesting such a meeting, but those appeals were not accepted by the Centre. He noted that the 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill, introduced in the Lok Sabha in April, failed to secure the required majority, partly due to the lack of prior consultation. Kharge stated that he learned through media reports that the Centre is now planning to reintroduce the amended 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill during the upcoming monsoon session.
