I met up with classic Vauxhall car enthusiast, Jack, and took the wheel of his 1978 Vauxhall VX2300 GLS, a true British classic from the golden age of family saloons - but the road test didn't quite go to plan. The VX2300 was a high-spec 2.3-liter version of the later VX Series, positioned as a luxurious and high-end model within the range. With its distinctive four-headlamp front end, vinyl roof and luxury options, the VX2300 became a favourite for drivers who wanted something a little classier than the average family car.
