Full fused tea light project tutorial
Jill takes you through making a full fused tea light project from start to finish. This tea light is full fused and then slumped over a metal mould. Check out our video on metal mould preparation too for advice and tips on how to coat them and with what. This project used 1 layer of Tekta 3mm thick glass at 15cm x 15cm square. If you fired that on its own at a full fuse then it will dog-bone. The reason for dog-boning is that your glass will always try to pull itself up to 6mm thickness when full fused (the 6mm rule). To combat this you try & get it as close to 6mm when you make it. The addition of stringers, frit & murrini will achieve that - therefore no dog-boning. It’s possible that the edges may be a bit bumpy but I always grind the edges for a professional finish before slumping anyway. ✅ Purchase murrine, stringers, e-books, gift vouchers from our UK shop: https://www.firedglass.biz/product-ca... ✅ FOLLOW US: Instagram: / fired__glass Twitter: / firedglass1 Website: https://www.firedglass.biz Facebook: / jillyfiredglass
