SAPANCA ULTRA'DA NE OLDU? | Kaotik Start ve Harika Doğa!

Welcome to the first episode of my Sapanca Ultra series! Fresh off the Helsinki Half Marathon, I signed up for this race just to get a weekday training session in. To be completely honest, my motivation was at an all-time low—but Sapanca’s incredible nature and energy changed everything! In this first episode, we kick off with a breathtaking sunrise view over Sapanca as I head up the upper cable car station with my running coach, Serpil Baysal, and Hamza. After a quick warm-up session, we took our spots at the starting line, where we unfortunately faced a bit of an organizational bottleneck. The Issue at the Start Line... The two most critical parts of any race are the start and finish management. Sadly, the starting corral for this race was way too narrow, and the only entrance was directly through the main start arch. Because of the crowd, I couldn't move further back and ended up trapped right inside the front elite group. Entry points shouldn't be from the front, or at least a dedicated corridor should have been planned. I hope the organizers learn from this simple planning mistake for future events. I'm sure it will be much better next year! Despite the technical hiccup, the energy of the crowd, the atmosphere, and the scenery were absolutely magnificent. 🌿 What’s Coming Next in the Series? In the upcoming videos, I’ll be sharing the most critical moments of the Sapanca Ultra 22K course, breaking them down with detailed data like heart rate, pace, and route maps. We ran through gorgeous nature in an amazing atmosphere! Make sure to SUBSCRIBE and turn on notifications so you don't miss the next episodes and the full technical analysis! Enjoy the video! Happy running...
