Kirby & The Amazing Mirror | 4-Player Split-Screen Co-op

Kirby & The Amazing Mirror is revolved around open-world exploration and being split into 4 Kirbys. As a result, the multiplayer is very open-ended. Unfortunately, it was never easy to set up. Now thanks to No$gba and JoyToKey, I was able to get splitscreen multiplayer running on PC with controllers. I invited 3 friends of mine to play through the game, and this is the result. Multiplayer-Unique Mechanics -The bosses have much greater HP. -You can respond to phone calls and teleport to the caller. -When a player runs out of lives, they can borrow another player's life instead of warping back to the hub. Negatives to Multiplayer: -The game suffers slowdowns most of the time, depending on the sections that are loaded. -Viewing the map pauses everyone's game, discouraging 100% playthroughs. -Unlocking an area causes a cutscene that interrupts everyone's game. -When collecting extra health, it only applies to whoever's save is being used. I will not demonstrate how to set this up. It is unconventional and doesn't work all too well. I certainly hope that Link Cable Multiplayer is made easier and with no slowdowns if possible.
