The terrain, high in the interior of the island and quickly transformed into cliffs and sea, does the rest. In El Hierro, therefore, trips aren't very long, but they're not very short either. Make a little effort and travel around the island: here in El Hierro, you can find spectacular places like the tranquil and secluded Gulf of Las Playas, or the Mirador de La Peña, where you'll feel on top of the world, or Pozo de Las Calcosas, an incredible village preserved in the characteristic local style over the centuries, where you can see stone houses still with thatched roofs.
