Ergaki is a natural park of regional importance, located in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Its area is 342,873 hectares. Ergaki are located within the Western Sayan, and due to their length they cover various high-altitude mountain belts. The length of the park from north to south is 75 km, and from west to east - 120 km. Krasnoyarsk artists Vladimir Ilyich Meshkov, Toivo Vasilievich Ryannel, Rudolf Krustinovich Ruiga and others who explored these places in the middle of the 20th century were the discoverers of Ergakov. As a specially protected natural area, the natural park was organized on April 4, 2005. The main attraction of Ergakov is the Sleeping Sayan. This is a chain of rocks that resembles a person sleeping on his back. Surprisingly, the face, hair, arms folded on the chest, and legs are visible from all sides. The first part of my nineteen-day hike in Ergaki. Ergaki met me with good sunny weather, which made me very happy! Indeed, in the mountains, the weather is difficult to predict. Often there are prolonged rains, hail and even snow. It shrouds everything in mist. In general, I was very lucky, although, due to the heat, it was very difficult to walk.
