In this documentary, we explore the fascinating history of Tartessos, considered by many historians to be the first great civilization of Western Europe. In the video, we explore the main theories about its mysterious disappearance: the decline of Phoenician trade, changes in tin routes, pressure from Celtic peoples, and internal political transformations. We also analyze extraordinary archaeological finds such as Cancho Roano and Casas del Turuñuelo, where palace-sanctuaries, ritual animal sacrifices, and deliberately buried buildings have been discovered. Thanks to modern archaeology, each new discovery brings us a little closer to understanding the legacy of Tartessos and its role in the emergence of later cultures such as the Turdetani and Turduli.
