Bike Ride: Matosinhos Beach to Foz do Douro on rental bikes.

We rented standard (non-electric) bikes and rode from Matosinhos beach to Foz do Douro. We rented them from Bike Nomad. They were good bikes and only cost 10 € each for 3 hours. We could keep them as long as we wanted. They came with bike locks, allowing us to explore the various beaches, restaurants and markets along the way. The terrain was an easy ride with only a few small hills. There also was a bike path the whole way that kept us out of traffic. The small market in Foz do Douro had a lot of great local made goods. If you’re just visiting I highly suggest this as a way to see the beach area. 10/10 experience. We brought our own helmets, but they rent and sell them there.
