Healthy food, without added chemicals, and inexpensive! Our meat supplier: https://www.st-laurent.fr/fr/congeles... Their Facebook page:   / societesaintlaurent   Our Facebook group:   / 777681216272294   The advantages of a homemade diet: A homemade diet is possible and not as complicated as it seems! Homemade food allows you to feed your dog a healthy diet free of chemicals. Homemade food allows you to control exactly what you feed your dog. Homemade food is inexpensive. Homemade food helps prevent health problems for your dogs. Homemade food helps extend the lifespan of your dogs. Homemade food doesn't need to hide behind legal loopholes to scam you, because it's simple: you know exactly what you're feeding them. Homemade food takes you 2 minutes a day to prepare. Homemade food allows you to save money on food. Homemade food is higher quality food. Homemade food promotes better digestion for your dog. Homemade food contains no chemicals. Homemade food does not use grains. A homemade diet does not use added carbohydrates. A homemade diet is not a collection of by-products of dubious origin. A homemade diet allows you to offer a diet adapted to the age, status (neutered or not), activity level, and health of each dog. A homemade diet does not cause problems for dogs with gluten allergies. A homemade diet helps your dog have a beautiful coat. A homemade diet allows your dog to have a truly balanced meal. SOME BASIC CONCEPTS Homemade diet or commercial food? It is possible, but not necessarily recommended, to feed your dog a homemade diet: you must then avoid table scraps, "dog-specific" red meat, and create a balanced diet of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, vitamins, and minerals. An animal accustomed to ground beef from a young age won't be very happy if you try to switch it to kibble. However, a dog fed kibble will adapt very easily to a homemade diet. In very simple terms, a homemade diet consists of: meat (poultry) rice vegetables (to provide fiber; avoid fermentable vegetables), all representing approximately 50 grams per kg of dog per day for an adult. (Double that for a growing dog). Bones, or no bones for your dog? This is a controversial topic! Chewing bones helps fight tartar buildup (especially for dogs fed kibble) and promotes better oral health. But not all dogs digest bones well, and if one gets stuck in the dog's esophagus or intestines, obstructing and/or tearing the lining… then the trouble begins! A very large bone, which the animal will chew on for several days without being able to break off any splinters, could be a reasonable compromise… However, be careful to ensure that the dog cannot get its teeth caught on the bone. LACTATION Under normal breeding conditions, a puppy nurses from its mother until weaning, that is, until the age of 2 to 2.5 months. During the first two days, the mammary glands secrete colostrum, the "first milk," rich in gamma globulins (antibodies), which provides the puppy with immunity at the very beginning of its life. A puppy usually nurses every 2 hours. If the puppies are orphaned, there are too many of them, or the mother is neglecting them or has no milk, you will need to use a suitable formula. Cow's milk is less rich and often poorly digested, leading to diarrhea that can be fatal. The feeding schedule and the amount to give depend on the puppy's age. These instructions, which are indicated on the packaging, must be followed precisely. To monitor the puppy's growth, you must check its weight very regularly. Weight gain depends on the breed. However, if a puppy has lost weight or hasn't gained any weight in 48 hours, this is not normal and you should be concerned and find out the cause.
