Ruth ends where the story has always been headed. Boaz faithfully redeems Ruth and Naomi, but his redemption points beyond itself to the greater Redeemer. In Jesus Christ, we see the true and better Boaz—the One who enters our poverty, bears our debt, restores what sin has broken, and secures an eternal inheritance for His people. Ruth 4 reminds us that the Bible is one unified story of God's redeeming work through Christ. What began with famine, loss, and emptiness ends in fullness, not because of human effort, but because of God's covenant faithfulness. And the genealogy that closes the book reveals that this story ultimately leads to King David—and, generations later, to Jesus.
