To test its true off-road driving experience, we specifically chose a surf spot we frequent, which required traversing a muddy, gravel road. It has to be said that Subaru's signature horizontally opposed engine, combined with all-wheel drive and its own X-MODE, makes driving incredibly easy! Even Jiajia, who isn't very familiar with cars, couldn't help but praise it as a truly excellent vehicle. On regular roads, the full-speed adaptive cruise control (ACC) and lane centering function make long-distance driving super easy. On the return trip, we also took a detour around the back mountains on the Taipei-Yilan Highway. The abundant power and solid chassis feedback made driving it incredibly fun. ⛺️ Rainy Day Camping Experience Finally, I must talk about the camping experience! Before setting off, I was worried about the interior space being insufficient, especially since we encountered the northeast monsoon and torrential rain and strong winds at the coast ⛈️. But the Subaru Outback surprised us greatly. With the rear seats folded down, the space was incredibly large and flat, and lying down on the mattress was super comfortable! As night fell, the interior instantly transformed into a luxurious private room. We comfortably enjoyed dinner and a drink, listening to the wind and rain outside, which felt especially cozy. In such terrible weather, this car provided us with the best refuge, allowing us to sleep soundly until dawn.
