Willow Springs epic battle for 2nd - Porsche Owners Club 991.2 Spec

Starting from pole, I got a weak start and fought with every scrap of my talent to battle for a hard-fought 2nd place. This is Bryan Van Noy driving our Porsche 991.2 Cup Car with Porsche Owners Club at Willow Springs Raceway. This is the second POC Red race on Sunday at the season finale in December 2024. I qualified with a personal best, on used tires from Saturday, and got pole. Unfortunately, I had a hard time spotting the flag bearer and was slow off the start, causing me to play offense the entire race from second place. There's lots of wheel-to-wheel action in this race, and some very close nose-to-tail racing at 140MPH +. This is the fastest track in the west, with an average speed far exceeding 100MPH. Our entry speeds going into turn 8 exceed 145MPH in most laps, and we did a few laps in the 1.19 zone during the race, which is barely slower than qualifying. It was the absolute fastest I've gone for 15 laps in a row, and was totally spent afterwards. I hope you enjoy the narration from my wife and co-driver, Danna Van Noy, as she asks some great questions throughout.
