Buckwheat Decision Time - Terminate or Let it go?

We're at 42 days after planting this buckwheat field and it is time to decide what to do with it. On one hand the bees are still foraging it, albeit at a much reduced rate, on the other I'd rather not have a large volunteer crop of buckwheat next spring. Adding to the decision is that there is a slim chance that if I let it reseed, there could be another crop this year, but that will depend heavily on moisture and when the first frost comes. While that may be attractive in providing a small amount of late season forage, it also exponentially increases the chances of a healthy volunteer growth of buckwheat come spring, which isn't desirable. However.... that could be controlled with mowing, hmmm. Is it worth the risk?
