DIY pinafore dress | *detachable bib* | NO PATTERN, beginner sewing tutorial | cottagecore / vintage

Today I am sharing a really quick and easy project - a DIY pinafore dress with a detachable bib! I love making clothes that can be worn in multiple ways, so this is something that I have always wanted to make. In this DIY pinafore dress sewing tutorial, I will show you how to sew a pinafore dress by adding a detachable bib to an existing skirt. There’s no pattern needed and you can make it according to your own measurements. Again, this is a fantastic sewing project for beginners! You can choose to make a half circle skirt using my previous video tutorial, use the remnant fabrics from your previous skirt sewing project, or even use a thrifted maxi skirt! If you are running short on your remnant, you can also use a different fabric for the underside of the straps and bibs. I also share some design ideas and additional suggestions for modifications for this DIY pinafore dress to work for your body and your style. There are so many different ways to make this! Leave a comment and tell me if this is something you are thinking about making for the holiday season, or if you are adding this to your cottagecore / vintage inspired style wardrobe. That's incorrect!! It should be RIGHT SIDES together. Thank you to the helpful viewer that flagged it.
