VENEZUELA! Decolagem do KC-390 em Guarulhos

A Brazilian Air Force KC-390 Millennium took off from Guarulhos bound for Venezuela. The mission is carrying humanitarian aid for the victims of the earthquakes that struck the country on Tuesday, June 23. The aircraft, from the First Troop Transport Group, the Zeus Squadron, took off at 1:20 PM this Friday, June 26. Its destination is the El Libertador Military Base in Maracay, Venezuela. The KC-390 is carrying approximately 12 tons of support material. On board are 36 firefighters and six search dogs, as well as professionals from Civil Defense and Anatel (Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency). The firefighters come from Minas Gerais, São Paulo, and Paraná. The mission is coordinated by the Brazilian Cooperation Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The team is classified as heavy-level Urban Search and Rescue, prepared to operate in disaster scenarios. The KC-390 Millennium is the most modern military transport aircraft manufactured in Brazil by Embraer. It has a cargo capacity of up to 26 tons and can operate on short and unprepared runways.
