The famous Afghan folk and patriotic poet, Matiullah Turab, sadly passed away last night due to sudden cardiac arrest. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. His funeral ceremony was held today at the “Ustad Awal Gul Mujahid Stadium” in Nangarhar province, with the participation of thousands of admirers, cultural figures, poets, literature lovers, and citizens. Turab Sahib was a courageous, sincere, and patriotic figure who inspired the nation through his poetry with messages of awareness, hope, and bravery. His sudden death is an irreplaceable loss—not only for the literary community but for the entire Afghan nation. May Allah (SWT) grant the late Turab the highest ranks in paradise and grant patience and strength to his family, relatives, friends, and all his admirers.
