How to Paint a Whimsical Bird in Watercolor

I find so much inspiration in the work of other artists! I have two watercolor friends that I find myself constantly referring to for new ways of looking at art, and their styles could not be more different! They are Natasha, The Mightier Pencil, and Ohn Mar Win. They've both been using a technique where they apply paint to the paper before doing the "real" painting. Natasha told me she was actually inspired by Ohn Mar, so it's all full circle! I gave it a try and painted a whimsical bird that I really love!
