Table Tennis Defense - Switching to Victas Curl P1V

Just recently I switched from TSP Curl P1-R to Victas Curl P1V, which is supposedly the same rubber just rebranded, but it definitely doesn't feel the same... This new version feels softer and easier to control, however, it took my a while to figure it out, as I felt I wasn't generating enough spin at first. This improved after weeks of practice and now I'm feeling great about it as my consistency has improved a lot and I feel I can control much better chopping heavy topspins which is an area I want to get better at.
