Earlier today on my IG I posted a few pics of this client and you’ve all been taking guesses at her result… here’s the answer reveal! I have also included her email in this post with her result taken out so you can guess — her journey serves as an important reminder (and it keeps breaking my heart to see these scenarios popping up in the industry I have loved so much for almost 14 years). — I call this now unfortunately a bit of an ‘Inventing Anna’ era emerging in the colour analysis industry that I have not witnessed in my tenure in the industry until recently (Inventing Anna reference is referring to Netflix series). We’re seeing incredible marketing — but sometimes when you look closer, the training isn’t there (red flag: if someone cannot answer simple question - name the colour analysis training program you completed and your process/methodolgy; reminder 4, 12, 16 season etc is number of result possibilities and does not equal training)… and/or self assigning ‘expert’ title or the ‘expert’ title is self assigned and comes only minutes after completing a course. I’ve even had situations where I found my own intellectual property being used without permission by a few ‘experts’ who used my work and called it their own. Protecting professional standards and original work in this industry really matters.
