Three apartments of almost 100 square meters in a new building in Uzhhorod were given to the families of defenders. Among them is war veteran Volodymyr. He enters his new home for the first time, not holding back his emotions. The defender is originally from the Kyiv region, went to the front as a volunteer from the first days of the war, was a scout, had three wounds, after the last one – received a disability and was demobilized. And he will live in a new apartment with his family – his wife and 3 children. The keys to the new apartments were solemnly handed over to two more families of soldiers who are currently considered missing. In Transcarpathia, housing is being provided to military personnel, veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, and families of fallen and missing defenders. The region receives apartments not for budget funds, but within the framework of superficies agreements – the rights to develop land plots, which developers purchased through open auctions in the "Prozorro.Prodazhi" system. As a reminder, the program started in 2022. In total, the region has already received 14 apartments with a total area of ​​over 1,800 square meters. Of these, 11 apartments have already been transferred to servicemen, veterans, and families of fallen defenders. Such a mechanism of cooperation with developers allows providing housing to those who need it most without additional burden on the budget, says Viktor Mykyta, and the implementation of superficies agreements will continue in Transcarpathia.
