Her youthful spirit leads her to wander, eventually descending to the mortal world. Her journey on earth brings her to encounter the bitterness and sweetness, the joys and sorrows of love. The story begins with Dewi Indradi betraying the love of Prabu Gajendramuka, as she turns her heart toward Raden Gutama. Her marriage to Raden Gutama brings her the conviction that the knight is her final destination in love. However, that dream turns out to be the polar opposite of the reality of her domestic life. Bathara Surya becomes the third person, the cause of the destruction of Dewi Indradi and Raden Gutama's household. As the saying goes, "the rice has turned to porridge," Dewi Indradi is then faced with a very complicated choice. It is a love as firm as a monument (tugu) that forces her to continue living her life's duty (dharma), even though that very monument of love is what will tear down all her romantic aspirations.
