I hadn’t done a sub same-day block in a while, but I was in between catering orders, and the station was about 6 miles from my first drop off. Also, this block was on a surge ($10 above base), so I took it. I had been hearing in my local Facebook group that things were changing, but I hadn’t seen it for myself yet. When I got there, the check-in was definitely different. It’s not just the ID—they’ve added other steps too, so I just recorded what the whole process looked like at my station. Then, I tried a faster way to scan (and number) packages that one of you told me about—using the mic to say the address instead of typing. And apparently there was a bonus going on… do 2 blocks get an extra $15, which I didn’t even realize at the time! So are you seeing these kinds of procedures at your sub same-day station now?
