After leaving the incredible Carnarvon Gorge, we thought this week would be simple—just a few easy free camps as we slowly made our way back toward the Queensland coast and Camp for a Cure 2025. Unfortunately, reality had other plans. From discovering "No Camping" signs where WikiCamps said camping was allowed, to arriving at a fenced-off campground in Emerald, our free camping plans quickly unraveled. What followed was a week of backup plans, unexpected roadside stops, beautiful scenery, Lake Maraboon, the famous Minions Rest Stop, and finally some well-earned relaxation in Tannum Sands. This episode captures the real side of full-time caravan life in Australia. Not every travel week goes according to plan. Camps fall through, long driving days happen, and sometimes illness forces you to slow down. But that's all part of the adventure.
