Finessing our way through the meticulous design details with the client and builder to ensure the highest level of execution was met. All the trades did an absolutely insane job, and we couldn't be more proud, as a firm, of the final result our team produced here on the Moon River in Bala, Ontario. There are two opposing sloped roof volumes that link together with a glass breezeway + Muskoka room to create a spectacular and unique piece of architecture. Clad in standing seam metal roofing, which falls into a siding detail, and meshed nicely with the wood siding, ACM panels, and absolutely gorgeous two story natural stone fireplace feature. This cottage is built to be maintenance-free so that the only thing left to do on arrival is wander barefoot down to your dock to enjoy the sunset. Cottages are always passion projects.
