INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 02.24.2023 - 02.26.2023 LOCATION: Wrightwood & Lake Arrowhead AREA: San Bernardino Mountains DETAILS: Thousands are snowed in and drivers are stranded after a brutal snowstorm with blizzard conditions slammed Southern California. Video from Wrightwood, CA shows high winds and extreme winter conditions. Additional video from Lake Arrowhead shows the town buried in several feet of snow. Highways are closed and most residential roads are not plowed, leaving many stranded on the mountain. Lots of people are running out of food and supplies, and the only way to get to the store is to walk. It is unclear when highways will re-open, it has been nearly four days since the road closures.
