I love the process of breaking a glove in because you are teaching the glove what to do. Slowly but surely the leather will gain a memory. So don't teach your glove to do the wrong thing! I prefer using the hot water treatment on my glove. The biggest thing to watch out for is making sure you don't smear any colors on the glove! Usually the only colors that can ever bleed into the leather is blue and red and usually the only spots on the glove you need to worry about are the laces.
