Full Route Visual | London Bus Route SL8 - Uxbridge to White City | (VMH2566) LA68DXB

The route runs limited-stop between Uxbridge, Hillingdon Heath, Hayes End, Hayes Grapes, Southall, Hanwell, West Ealing, Ealing Broadway, Acton High Street, Acton Vale, Shepherd's Bush & White City. The route itself is a very nice one, but long as it majority runs along the A4020. The driver, yeah she was very nice; she waved when I was filming. However, I find that it being a "superloop" route makes no sense. The route does not go in a loop, it is a radial route that should be called the X207 or the X427. It should never have been renumbered from 607 at all. Sadiq Khan is trying to show that he is doing something to help Londoner's, but he hasn't. Him & TFL have wasted soooo much money on renumbering this route that cannot use any other vehicles. The SL6,7,8,9 were already successful routes to begin with even before they were renumbered to the superloop scheme. He should evaluate the success and the usefulness of the superloop routes SL1,2,3,5, & 10. At this rate, he doesn't even know what he is doing - he has completely lost it. The SL6 should've just been left numbered as the X68. So about my experience with this route was average I guess. The bus was overcrowded by the time I got to Southall, North Road. There was obviously traffic in Southall & people were talking on the phone which made the bus very noisy. There was also road works which also caused traffic in Acton Vale which pissed me off. Also, TFL cut the 427 to Southall, Merrick Road recently which also contributes to the increased capacity along the SL8 as Southall, Trinity Road is the only bus stop where all 4 routes: 207, 427, N207 & SL8 meet up at. I will always identify this as the X207. It doesn't matter what anyone else says lol. The route should be operating at Uxbridge (UX) Garage as it used to before the route was retained with MCV Evoseti's. I do miss the Gemini 1's though. They made the route good. Funnily enough, the route was about to go to Abellio, but Metroline kept this last minute lol. Transport for London were proposing to build the West London Tram between Shepherd's Bush and Uxbridge, running along Uxbridge Road. The tram would have replaced the current routes 207, 427 and 607 (SL8 now). Transport for London claimed that trams would carry more passengers and be more reliable, but due to the Crossrail project going ahead the plans were scrapped.
