Boarding Carnival MARDI GRAS - Our First Mega Ship Experience!!

We are sailing again with Carnival... and what a ship Mardi Gras is!! This is the first mega ship that CCL has ever built and it is incredible! We loved pulling up in Port Canaveral and seeing this massive ship for the first time!!! Exploring the ship will take us all week... but we know where Guy's Burger Joint is and we head there first for lunch. And yes, they are as good as we remember!! We have been on four cruises with four different cruise lines and let me tell you, no one does a sail away party like Carnival! Chris 'The Flying Scotsman' was our cruise director and he had everyone singing and dancing as we headed out to sea! In trying something new, we had a cove balcony for the first time. What is a cove balcony? It is a balcony cabin on a lower deck that is inset, from the outside of the ship, it looks like a big window!
