This is the ninth of a ten part series of clips covering the rail traffic on the Kalbaskraal - Saldanha and Bitterfontein section. The section is mostly worked by 35 Class diesels of the 35-000 and 35-400 series. Designed by General Electric and manufactured in South Africa by Dorman Long Locomotive. Both sub classes belong to the same model GE U15C. The larger 34 class also makes an appearance in the series, mostly 34-082 and 34-083. These locomotives were also designed by General Electric and manufactured in South Africa. The majority of the filming was done at Rust, Moorreesburg, Koringberg, De Hoek, Klawer, Koperfontein and Hopefield. Western Cape, South Africa.
