Today I want to talk about commonplace books. A commonplace book is a powerful tool for learning and becoming more creative so let's get started – finding out what they are and simple ways to use them. They are also crazy inexpensive so – what are we waiting for? It will help us pay attention. It will grows our sense of curiosity. They are a paper pensieve. Commonplace books have been around for thousands of years but they really picked up in the 1400s with use by Italian merchants who called their books zibaldone – which means "a heap of things".
