Slightly dated, but a classic nonetheless - Ys I & II Chronicles+ Review

Ys is one of the oldest Action-RPG series in the history of gaming, and this remake brought updated graphics and gameplay to a venerable 80's classic... back in 2001. 25 years later, even the remake can be considered retro, and suffers from a few technical issues as a result. However, if you get over that initial hump, you'll find a refreshing take on combat mechanics, a world full of deep lore to discover, and not one, but three of the best soundtracks around. Just, for the love of the Goddesses, remember to cap your frame rate at 60.
