Reporter Gu Ha-rim reports. [Reporter] South Korea's exports in June totaled $102.25 billion, exceeding $100 billion for the first time in a single month. This ranks fourth globally, following Germany, China, and the United States. Despite the Middle East war and the impact of U.S. tariffs, monthly export figures have been breaking records this year, and in June, the country achieved the remarkable feat of surpassing $100 billion. Semiconductors were once again the star performer in June. Semiconductor exports in June reached an all-time high, largely due to the explosive increase in demand for memory semiconductors as well as the rise in prices themselves. Since this is a very high figure compared to the past, it is driving semiconductor exports..." Voluntarily driven by the K-Beauty and K-Food craze, exports of various consumer goods also showed strength. Exports for the first half of this year totaled $496.7 billion, marking an all-time high for the same period. As the semiconductor boom continues, some forecasts predict that annual exports will reach $1 trillion this year.
