Original description from the Rage website: Frenzal Rhomb are this weekend’s rage guest programmers and we’ve Never Had So Much Fun! Join Lindsay McDougall and Jay Whalley this Saturday June 10 as they unleash their famously rebellious spirits and showcase their favourite music videos on the red couch. You might be surprised to learn that the Aussie punk-rock legends have only guest programmed once before, twenty-five years ago in 1998, shortly after the release of their third LP Meet The Family and the same year they headlined the Australian Leg of the Warped Tour. Since then, they’ve released seven more albums, including this year’s latest, The Cup Of Pestilence – written during the pandemic and finding the band just as profane, in-your-face and funny as ever with songs like ‘Where Drug Dealers Take Their Kids’ and ‘Thought It Was Yoga But It Was Ketamine’ giving you some idea of the kind of timely subject matter the band deconstruct on album number ten. Needless to say, it’s a wild ride. Frenzal Rhomb will be taking you on a wild ride of their own this weekend, lining up a bunch of clips from their influences like TISM, Bad Brains, The Meanies and Hard Ons, giving you a lesson in rock history with videos from Iron Maiden, KISS and Deep Purple, a stack of Aussie classics from Silverchair, Grinspoon and Something For Kate, and a few of their favourite Australian artists on the scene right like A.B.
