The Making Of A Longbow - The Board Bow
I've been wanting to make the English Longbow for a very long time. I realised that the only way to make a Longbow is to actually make a Longbow. So I set out to harvest a stave and it has been seasoning now for a little over a year. The thing is that idiot that I am, I only got myself ONE stave. Which means that I only have one shot at this. If I brake it or ruin the stave in any sort of way, I will have to wait another year before I can have another go. Simply put, I needed practice in bow making. Practice that is risk free. A way to make a bow, where it doesn't matter if I screw it up. So that's what I did!
