Second hand models better than today's faulty offerings? Princess and Merchant Navy Classes

Welcome to this double service video featuring these lovely locomotives from years gone by. Like me many are fed up with paying huge prices for new locomotives only to find they have multiple faults or fall apart, its heart breaking and due to silly limited edition runs, sending back the loco means no replacement. All is not lost however, if you look to the golden period of ‘new’ Hornby that being 2000 to 2007 the locomotives from those days, even all these years later are built with superior attention to quality and performance. But they might just need a good service to get them back to full power. NB it seems that R3617 the Merchant Navy may well be a 2018 not 2007 release, it was listed as 2007 and priced accordingly, Seems I got much more of a bargain then????
